Editors handbook

Edit live websites with the macrocontent overlay — no code required. Change text and images, configure components, work in drafts, and publish when ready.

You edit on the site
Open the customer website, press the editor shortcut, and sign in. Content changes happen in place — there is no separate CMS page for day-to-day editing.

Who this is for

Content editors, marketers, and anyone invited as a site user for a website. You need an account your team created in the Dashboard → Team / Users area. Developers who wire the site should start in the Developers handbook.

What you can do

  1. Open the overlay

    On any macrocontent-powered page, press ⌘⇧M / Ctrl+Shift+M, sign in, and enter edit mode.

  2. Edit content

    Click highlighted fields on the page or use the sidebar. Text, images, rich text, and component settings update as you work — usually autosaved to a draft.

  3. Publish when ready

    Preview draft vs live, then publish so visitors see the new version. Use the version bar to switch views and manage drafts.
